Remedies for a bad back (or Meet the Weekend)
Take 1 massage; add hot water bottle and ibuprofen. Don't do much. Whine a lot. Then get strapped into a fab corset and get to Jilly's with excellent chums on a saturday night. Pain all gone!
That was a terrific weekend. I've been disappointed with Jilly's Rock Club every time except the very first that I went there; I was on fire that night, dancing for a doomed friend. Since then, Jilly's has been repeatedly rubbish with music I could fall asleep to and legions of hopeful hobbits trying to leap their way into my underwear. This seems to be a Friday night phenomenon. Saturday was better; my list of dancefloor stuff that hits me directly below the hips is growing to include a lot of Rammstein (Engel's the one for me right now) and my old favourites (More Human Than Human and Closer) were trotted out in tandem, just the way I like them. Generally it was a night when I felt great and felt that I looked great, which always helps.
Said friends stayed over, and much playing with kittens/creation of catflaps/cheerful gibbering occurred. Then they went home, and just as we thought we were too wiped out to be any fun at all,![[profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
bytepilot, thalinoviel and itsjustaname turned up at the door, and great conversations lit us up all over again. Then there was pizza. And it was good.
Today I am happy. Let's see if it lasts til noon.
