Yes, cunning men are dangerous. I recall tales of George Pickingill, perhaps the most famous of cunning men back in the 19th century. It was said that he was able to 'coerce assistance and beer from local residents by threatening to place a curse upon them or their belongings'.

Easy for a cunning man to forget there's more to this world than cunning.
