Meh.
Being offered some sort of part in a short film about youth culture and hair cuts.
Seriously couldn't care less.
I love playing around and showing off, or I did, or I will or won't, but it just isn't singing to me. I may not always be done with TV, but right now I am. And if that's a permanent situation, that's cool. But maybe I am being silly, this is work, and I should at least look at it.
[Edited to add:] So Ok, I got back to the producer/director whatever he is. He wanted a snapshot of me with short hair and asked me a couple of questions:
So how long have you had your present style?
Will you decide to keep your style ?
Where do you go and who cuts it for you
If this seems a bit peculiar, it's because it is a bit peculiar. Not a word about the project, and who in their right mind is going to tell a total stranger where they cut their hair? I'm not saying it's dangerous or crazy. I'm just saying it's unusual...I called the site and they agreed. He had booked it on site as a supporting speaking role, so unless it's a testimonial ('Everyone knows that short hair is hard work! But since I started using new salon approved goose lard with added stiffener, I can get the shock spikes I want, AND roast potatoes on my head!') it doesn't really make much sense. They'll check it out. In the meantime, she said, it doesn't pay well and her suggestion would be to politely decline.
When I look for the guy's ID, all I find is an OK Cupid profile and what looks suspiciously like links to porn. My hair will have to find stardom another day.
