Too damned old

I enjoy anger as much as the next person, but it is energy intensive and expensive. Maybe this is another age related thing like getting up earlier, or maybe it's to do with going through a protracted time when I genuinely couldn't do much, but these days while I have energy to spend, I have little to waste. Elon Musk irritated me with his comments about the UK, I chewed on it, then deleted my X account (never used it much anyway) and that was the end of that. I don't hate Elon Musk, I don't know Elon Musk, I just don't like my experience of him so away went that experience.

Is this venerable wisdom, or just an exercise in the bleedin' obvious?

I marvel at the chum who has so little to do and so much spare mental/emotional energy that he can diligently stalk JK Rowling's account to find examples of her heinousness to bring back and share with the tribe. Then begins the ritual of indignation, validation, and the comfort of mutual love under siege. Gawd.

All I can think is 'have you tried watching Mysterious Island?'



I still play D&D most sundays, still like my jeans and eyeliner, still enjoy the onslaught of scary monsters. There's a lot of nonsense I like. But there's some for which I am just too damned old.
