Impressionism and me

My impression of my latest painting is that it is best seen at a distance; preferably from another room with one’s eyes closed. I am always astonished by my deficiency in artistic aptitude. With acrylics I create muddy trippy pictures, with water colours I create washed out muddy trippy pictures. Hard to avoid my lack of talent, however other things hard to avoid right now include coq au vin and gran cru. We were thinking of doing a tour of vineyards today, turns out it’s too hot and the only things happening entail lying around and bad art.

I’m not saying it’s heaven. But it’s only a little southaways.
