Once upon a time at Midsummer

There was a very pretty girl in a very pretty dress.

OK, she may be replaced by a miserable floppy haired tired-eyed fool tomorrow, but she's a bit gorgeous today. A little black dress turned up mysteriously in the post; she must assume it's from her rather spiffy boyfriend, larians, because it is absolutely perfect for her birthday evening treat; champagne at the Moulin Rouge!

It is one of those dresses that really plays up to one's curves; a very girly-girly dress. Many's the time the boot has gazed in the the mirror and thought, 'Oh my god, how do I straighten this?' Well, tain't a straightening kind of dress; it's all about the ins and outs. And the ins and outs look good!

There's only a certain kind of woman who can wear a girlie dress and look beautifully feminine (as opposed to just awkward). I have always admired the fact that you are one of those women.

AVI would be better htan jpeg/gif, cos I photograph like a bloke in a dress - veeejo's kinder (don't ask me how that works, but it's true!) Academic anyway, as I have no way of adding such arcane stuff to my lj!

I had started that evening with eyebrows pencilled on half an inch lower than my own; I thought the ichor was a positive improvement.
