Tripped a headwire

Well that was interesting.

Weird fainty vertigo trippy thing, everything suddenly moving backwards slowly....staggered to the stairs. Fell down them. Came around about 15 minutes later. I appear to have officially swooned. My right side is really hurting, but apart from that, this wooziness is actually quite cool. Whenever I close my eyes I see a great big jasmine. It's pretty.

This was in the middle of a call to a customer; very professional, I could tell he was impressed.

Right. No more sleeplessness, no more stressing out, no more mooching around thinking too hard about my money my job my novel my cat's cystitis my love my hair my pc my desire to buy a boat and live on the Thames. Enough already. Time for cake and a good film. Still haven't seen Brokeback Mountain you know; nobody wants to share gay cowboy porn with me.

*Pouts. Sulks. Dreams of cake and chaps*

Sounds like you need to be seeing a doctor.

And I would prefer it if you went to see one that can tell his arse from his elbow.

Otherwise I might have to start nagging....

The local GPs

[identity profile] smokingboot.livejournal.com 2006-02-13 02:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Messrs Maim and Death make the surgery a phrase needful of inverted commas. Whatever's up, it can't be as bad for me as they are! But as I fear a mighty telling off from certain excellent chums, if it happens again, I will indeed go and see my gp.

In the meantime, I will enjoy this general fuzzy headspace and wish I had an eclair.

[identity profile] ellefurtle.livejournal.com 2006-02-13 03:11 pm (UTC)(link)
Ooooo now I want an eclair too!

Enjoy your jasmine

[identity profile] smokingboot.livejournal.com 2006-02-13 06:59 pm (UTC)(link)
Thank you! My eclair desires have now evolved into kebabbage, soon to be fulfilled.

Fab icon btw!

Even while frowning in concern at your attack of falling sickness, I have to admire the style with which you turn a phrase and make me laugh.

Here's hoping the incident was nothing serious and that cake manifests in your life with all haste.

[identity profile] smokingboot.livejournal.com 2006-02-13 07:04 pm (UTC)(link)
Lovely to hear from you! Alas, I have neither cake, nor cowboys, but kebabs are on the way, and Batman Begins should cheer me up.

[identity profile] smokingboot.livejournal.com 2006-02-13 08:18 pm (UTC)(link)
OK, I was wrong; the kebabs cannot compare to the cake of my dreams, and my mind keeps wandering from Christian Bale to cowboys.
Tomorrow the cake will manifest in all its gooey glory.

i shant bother mentioning that when feeling trippy and faint, perhaps struggling and trying your best to get to the only place in the house where you can fall more than 6 foot, was a bit silly.

i hope you are ok

and i am so dragging you out to relax at some point!

getting yourself checked out is probably not a bad idea

[identity profile] smokingboot.livejournal.com 2006-02-13 07:09 pm (UTC)(link)
I concede, my launching myself at the stairs might seem somewhat dumb, but I wondered if it was a sugar low, a really really bad one, and the sweet stuff was all downstairs. So I was being very sensible really.

Going out and relaxing is a must.

Marching back to Doom and Maim's house of fun surely isn't!

[identity profile] colonel-maxim.livejournal.com 2006-02-13 06:13 pm (UTC)(link)
Consider this to be the obligatory, if slightly token, expression of concern and worry combined with the admittedly obvious support for the proposed doctor visiting scenario.

Big, big hugs.

[identity profile] smokingboot.livejournal.com 2006-02-13 07:07 pm (UTC)(link)
*big big hugs back my dear*

Do not worry. It is one of those little blips that happens. You want to know something spooky? Later, I was asked to describe a murder (don't ask why, too complex). Thing is, I did. Spot on.

The criminal gives herself away...

[identity profile] colonel-maxim.livejournal.com 2006-02-13 08:11 pm (UTC)(link)
So, what exactly is your alibi for this affair?

Re: The criminal gives herself away...

I was hidden in a paper bag full of gin your honour.

[identity profile] velvet-the-cat.livejournal.com 2006-02-13 06:20 pm (UTC)(link)
Blimey! Glad you're mostly okay.

What the others said about going to see the quack too!

Take care.

[identity profile] smokingboot.livejournal.com 2006-02-13 07:08 pm (UTC)(link)
Do not worry yourrself, I am fine really. It's weird, but all gone now, except for a couple of aching muscles.

You're lucky not to have broken your neck!

[identity profile] november-girl.livejournal.com 2006-02-13 09:38 pm (UTC)(link)
However, I would have thought that living with [livejournal.com profile] larians would mean that you are well aware of the potential delayed effects of concussion. Get yourself checked out!

Re: You're lucky not to have broken your neck!

[identity profile] smokingboot.livejournal.com 2006-02-13 11:30 pm (UTC)(link)
It certainly had a Robsart reminiscence about it! I hadn't thought about concussion cos my head doesn't hurt at all...My muscles down the right hand side seem to have taken the brunt. But if I find myself fuzzy or acting even stranger than usual, I'll risk our local practitioners of medical mayhem!

[identity profile] squintywitch.livejournal.com 2006-02-14 09:26 am (UTC)(link)
I want to see gay cowboys too. In the meantime, can I suggest this for ma'am?

Thank you, this should sustain me until next week...I like the way it links into chocolatecakecity!

[identity profile] deadmandancing.livejournal.com 2006-02-14 10:35 am (UTC)(link)

and yes, go see a GP, or a chiropractory thingy, my god i forgot how i always get medical specialities confused.

[identity profile] smokingboot.livejournal.com 2006-02-14 06:49 pm (UTC)(link)
I want to swoon over gay cowboys! I must see this film soon, unfortunately I have been thwarted by illness and dim sum. But it's definitely going to happen!

[identity profile] binidj.livejournal.com 2006-02-14 03:55 pm (UTC)(link)
"Still haven't seen Brokeback Mountain you know; nobody wants to share gay cowboy porn with me."

I think you'll find that the porn version is probably called Bareback Mountin'.
