La Dolce Vita
Apr. 8th, 2009 12:34 pmI spent much of yesterday evening being treated by His Grace The Duke, otherwise known as
bytepilot to a funky and eclectic meal in a funky and eclectic restaurant called 'Champur Champur' near London Bridge. I don't want to review it because part of CC's charm lies in the complete surprise of the place. The doorway looks as though it should have a big guy called Frankie in it demanding to know if you want a cab, and only the vaguely exotic symbols on it indicate the possibility of a Malay restaurant, let alone a Malay-Fusion restaurant. But enough! Fear not the door and go inside. I'm certainly going back, and thank the Duke, as always, for his dazzling company and marvellous judgement/luck in finding such a groovy place to eat.
When I came home the moon and a couple of stars were twinkling down our street through all the blossoming trees. Today the sun is out. I have an evening show tonight and god knows I'm pretty broke.
But right now life is sweet.
