Dream diary
Jun. 2nd, 2010 11:20 amTrying to meet my mother (and catch up with chums
squintywitch and
bad_moon_rising )I had to take a long route up or down a hill, where buses were meant to come and didn't. Walked next to a field full of horses with wings. I asked a man nearby if they could fly. He told me they couldn't, that the wings were merely mechanical. I watched a foal play, thinking it was a shame about the wings. Why have them if they wouldn't work? And wondered, or discussed with the man, if the wings would work if they were moved to the centre of a horse's back. The little horse so wanted to fly. I loved to watch it scampering around.
Cut, and I had found
squintywitch and
bad_moon_rising in a pub alongwith
larians and other loved chums. I decided to go out on a bicycle but when I got outside, it was raining hard, in fact a storm was raging, and as I rode I realised that the pavement had no road beside it...that had drowned long ago in the sea, which even now crashed over the stones in relentless waves, tide coming in, and the wind almost knocking me off the bike.
I looked back over the scene, air thick and shining wet with more clouds. Between them hanging low on the horizon was a setting/rising sun, in golds and amber browns, soaking autumn leaf colours I've never seen in the sky. I was surprised to see it there, in the unfolding grey, but there it was gleaming at me.
That's all I recall.
