Touch of bliss

There is a headiness to the atmosphere of our back garden right now. I am delighted by the pond which is busy to say the least; yesterday my first ever water lily opened, a rapturous and exquisite thing! The way they open and close is wondrous to me. There's a massive tangle of flowering bramble and honeysuckle on the edge of the pond, in danger of taking over the whole garden. I have done nothing, and the result is a hot day's reward; many bees and a permeating beautiful scent everywhere.

There is so much to be done, and certain frustrations too. But actually, they're very small compared to a beautiful day.
