the day has become hassle.
My love is ill, and I have had to cancel the game tonight, and I am afraid I have inadvertantly offended someone.
My wonderful lively amazing aunt has just phoned with the news that her knee is now so bad that the doctors are saying she must have a metal knee cap put in, or she will be a cripple in a couple of years time. She's afraid of the operation, never had one in her whole life, all seventy odd years of it. We don't have ops in our family; We eat, we drink, we live until we are very old then we die. An operation is a big thing for anyone of us, cos we're a damn healthy breed normally.
Aunt went on to tell me about the family anorexic. This has been going on for years; she is determined not to change, and that is cool, she has the right to do that; probably doesn't have the right to torment the family though...she blames them for not taking notice of her as a child. Oh god.

But my cat's cystitis is getting better.

Man, my head is spinning. Not thinking about illness anymore, got work to think about instead.

Oh joy.

Knee replacements are fantastic for arthritis sufferers, your aunt should not worry!

My mum had one last November and she can walk better than she has for years now and has virtually no pain, whereas before she was in agony before the op.

Again, i wish I was there to help absorb the rubbish that floats around. As a secondary and lesser alternative, big hug and an attached cuddle.

Hopefully, the day gets better.

Oh poot. Sounds like a tiring time. Glad the cat's feeling better, one less thing to worry about.

Love and sympathy to you, [livejournal.com profile] larians and the mooglet (which one?) as well as a general "chin up, it'll be fine" for your aunt.

Thank you for this, I will quote it to my aunt and it may get her past this fear she has; but the improvement of her quality of life has just got to be worth it.

Hugs and cuddles are far from secondary/lesser. Thank you my dear.

Oh, it has to some degree. And there's only an hour left of it, so I'm looking forward to tomorrow:-)

Actually yes, poor fellow had a pretty awful time, but he's definitely on the mend now, so things are certainly improving!

Thank you, I will pass on your love to my unfortunate boyfriend. The affected moog is Ralik - apparently young males and older females are particularly prone - but he's getting better. Aunt will be OK, I'm just so used to her being really pragmatic and jolly, I can't quite take in her worry.

Things will be cool. Looking forward to seeing you soon!
