Not my own best friend

Today I have eaten:

Egg noodles boiled in water with soy sauce and pepper
A chunk of old mozzarella
2 coffees, 1 decaffeinated

What I need now is a beer, some cigarettes and a bar of chocolate.

I still remember those fingernails...

But the glint ?
The boot is glinty ok but it's not world weariness, 'tis the same glint that shines off the polished iron teeth of Baba-Yaga, the glint that says "Today I shall make aligator and paperclip soup"
