Because [personal profile] caddyman wished to know what fads replaced the fads that replaced biorhythms, here are some health tips from one who wishes she did not know...

1. Dried pineapple rings and mango slices do not make a healthy alternative to sweets if you eat them by the bagful at each sitting.

2; And they incur flatulence, especially eaten by the bagful at each sitting.

3. Goji berries are all right though.

4. Freshly mushed wheatgrass really does give you an energy boost but tastes so vile you'll need to suck a lemon and all its cousins or just down a glass of salt to get over it.

5. But however vile it tastes, it cannot compare to spirulina, the blue green algae everyone is claiming as the newest, greatest superfood ever. I confess, it does seem to be working, but it really is revenge of the pond scum. The reason it will never be turned into an uberharvest to feed the starving millions is because it tastes absolutely horrible. Needless to say I'm eating a teaspoon of this stuff every morning; they recommend you put it in smoothies; don't do that, it looks like cthulhu in embryo. Brilliant for your immune system they say, and I'm sure if I can get over my nausea at the sight of it, I'll be just fine.

Other things with no time to discuss: [profile] november_girl's hen day/night was absolutely marvellous. Entertainments included pole dancing lessons,* a strip tease c/o a fun chunky-boi, much booze, reminiscing, and a truly charming cottage with homely cat, ivy clad trees, nearby lake and swan called Sid. It was wonderful to spend time with lovely peeps. Special thanks go out to [profile] squeezypaws for mighty cat-herding-fu!

The show: Yes. Good. But.

Something a bit odd happened. And I think I am blowing it up out of proportion; it perplexes me. So instead, I will stop right here, and go do something else.

* Have learnt total respect for this as a form of dance/excercise. I pulled more muscles, gained more bruises and felt more energised than at any time doing gym work-outs or belly dancing; if I can find a place that does a course, I'm honestly tempted.

Mmmmm tasty... well, tastier. The good news is, I have lots of spirulina in the Tower, so if you like, you are welcome to experiment:-)

How can you say that after reading WWZ?

contemplated making smutty comment about blowing things out of proportion during strip teases, but then decided not too....i suspect i may be ill or tired or something ;)

and yes, energetic pole dancing is not really at all dissimilar to gymnastics now youve made me think about it

That`s easy. I haven`t read WWZ.
Besides if you don`t like Soylent Green there`s always Soylent Havocstan.

If you find pole dancing up this neck of the woods - I'm up for it. My gym is running a couple of sessions, but both of them are while I am away :(

Why can't you just eat fish like normal people?

Twas great to watch - there were 3 teachers, two typical pole dancer girls and one older lady. She was unbelievably graceful and amaxzing when she danced. I was hypnotised; totally want to be that lithe!

As for blowing things...It's just a hunch, but I have a strange feeling Mr Boyjoy wouldn't have minded. Happy in his work, it seemed.

In fact my travel/shift arrangements might make this difficult too, but I intend to make enquiries. Let's see what there is to find!

Because I`m not a wemic?

You don't have to be a wemic to like fish!

Flip brought a whole one to the last event (admittedly it was latex and I didn't see him eat it...)

Ah, you see, you just destroyed your entire argument with the first word. 'Flip' brought said fish. Now, my new Gny Sgt is Milenese and thus known to have bad taste.
