Actually, yes, I look forward to that more than Xmas.

Thursday night our coven is having ritual, and Friday night we have our holiday dinner with family and friends. A little music, a little wine, a lot of chocolate and TONS of laughter...that's my idea of a great holiday celebration. :)

I think for us its that we wont be getting a 'family' Christmas unless we go to Canada- my own family is sort of dissolving after my mums death a couple of years ago-my brother is always busy around Christmas as both he and my sister in law work for the church, and my dad has remarried and moved and is in too small a place for everyone to do more than meet for a quick lunch (plus the new wife is just not the type of person we get on with). It just reminds us that we can't have kids unless we adopt, and of the losses in the family.

We resolved to have a quite Christmas indulging in watching the original series of Dark Shadows (quite one of the best bits of TV ever) but it still does little to stop us thinking of what is missing. Plus we are broke, which hardly helps!

Would you say overall that 2007 has been good to you though? Having your book published is such a milestone for one thing.
