Knackered for Friday

smokingbootToday I said I would do something extra at the wood, so up I get and away I go...after I have finished waiting for this coffee to taste good. I could be here some time.
Tonight, I am joining a friend in two hours of Balinese shaking. Said chum is very into oriental alternative therapies like Qi Gong (I honestly thought Qi Gong was a Jedi) and she really knows her stuff. Some time ago, a small posse of us had a mission; each of us had to chose something fascinating to do for a day. I took them to a city farm, and afterwards the Gun pub across from the 02, where Nelson and Emma Hamilton used to meet (the Gun, that is, not the 02).* Chum's day of specialness entailed foraging for ransoms, cleavers and nettles; she's into foraging and has been known to eat her lawn.** She also had us do a small set of Qi Gong exercises, including a cute little deer dance which entailed us skipping around with our fingers pointed daintily above our heads to symbolise horns. Now she wants to try Balinese shamanic shaking, though it's in Brixton rather than Bali.
Friday nights have changed beyond recognition.
