Lots of sudden furore on my friends' FB pages about breast feeding. I don't get how anyone can have a problem with it. It's what breasts are for, primary function. Some people get turned on by breasts and don't like the idea of being presented with an underground flutter in public, compromised by oedipal anxiety... IMHO that's just a shrug-and-control-yourself moment. Breasts were not designed to affect anybody's crotch, and if that happens, it's still not the point. If we can live with boobies on screens, on magazine covers, in newspapers, on billboards, if we can live with boobies being used to sell everything from cars to suncream, we can sure as hell find a way to live with boobies being used for their real purpose, which is to feed very young human beings.

How can this be a thing?
