A Mixed Bag

I'm waking up with a slightly dicky stomache each morning - it's recurring often enough for me to wonder if a visit to the doctors might be wise. Maybe it's psychosomatic sympathy with little Rory2, our Betta Splendens. His abdomen is all swollen up... could be constipation, could be dropsy, a failure of the kidneys to which Bettas are prone. I was lucky with my others who lived a good few years, but if he's got dropsy, chances are he is going to die. I will do whatever I can to keep him going. My poor fish have been having a rough time recently.

I myself feel slightly disgruntled... Shouldn't do, got some encouraging news yesterday...maybe it's the stomach ache. I honestly cannot handle social media at the moment, it seems full of people desperate to tell others how to live their lives. Obviously everyone has their moments and  opinions, that's what makes it fun. But sometimes, when everyone has a moment and an opinion at the same time, the Enough point is reached.   This morning was my Enough point.

The Ballad of Mary-Anne goes to music...It's a song about bullying.I heard it in my head before writing it out, and have got the chorus down pat. But how do you build a verse melody from a chorus? No idea.

I have been working on a similar conundrum with a young person I work with at my project. His predicament is slightly different. He had an idea for lyrics, then he made his music, he likes both concepts but merging them is proving more difficult. Oh and it's more along the lines of a rap so not my usual style...we'll get there though! Hope you figured out your difficulties - I'd love to hear it :-)

Your project sounds interesting!

I have the song chorus and nothing more beyond the lyrics. It's not helped by my inability to read music... or indeed my lack of any musical aptitude!
