Dreams last night of a beastie with which I have connections. Went out today, absolutely heavenly scent of hawthorn bewitching everything, wildflowers on the verges. Message from a friend, her bees have swarmed. This week we'll go sing to them, over lunch and loveliness. There's probably 3/4 virgin queens there, one for each guest! But no. No, mustn't. Must not volunteer to take a swarm home...

:-D ! I could soothe those apian souls by rubbing myself with thyme leaves and singing folk songs... only I can't remember if that's meant to drive them off or inflame them to madness!
