In the graveyard, flickering lights
bring October's final nights
pumpkin orange, koboldt blue,
and the kids are out in force
and they all want sweets of course
and they're coming after you!

And the films are rather gruesome
perfect for a cuddly twosome
with a black cat on your knee,
while the books are jackanory
with spectacularly gory
tales that aren't quite history!

The unseelie hosts are riding,
ancient phantoms are not hiding
In their tombs as is their wont,
but have come up for a party
with the living and the hearty
who enjoy a little haunt!

For it is the shivering season,
so suspend your object reason
and surrender to a scream!

Yes well. Third verse,last three lines would be better if lines a and b were not so close in sound to c, but it works if read out...in a certain way, i.e possibly accompanied by whiskey.
