Well now, here we go again. And because there are major spoilers, my thoughts are behind the cut:

So you turn up to the island and this time no-one is cheery or welcoming and the place is a tatty dump. The cottage you booked is closed, the people are unpleasant or just plain weird, there are sheelah-na-gigs with bloody vulvas and the word 'Die' graffitied everywhere. Would you need to find an effigy of the pregnant virgin Mary nailed to a cross, blood at her feet or a mutilated ewe with a doll in its carved out innards to persuade you to get the hell out of Dodge? I'd leave pronto, vengeance being mine on Tripadvisor.

I liked the silveriness as they drove across to Osea; I liked the underwater green track reminiscent of the events of Summer, as though Father and Mother came in by different roads, when of course, as far as we know it's the same causeway. We are fed lots of mood, but I am really not convinced about the dialogue at all.

It triggered the dream perhaps, a variation on an earlier one this year; A kind of immersive experience with some case to be solved. An old foe is there, but I don't know how involved he is in any of it. The sense is one of an extremely ancient malignity out of Egypt. I start looking at the props/artefacts, painted beautifully. I wrap one up and break it down its central spine by accident. I don't mention that to anyone. It's an awkward moment.
