smokingbootMore strange dreams. People redoing an old LARP I co-wrote many years ago. I went away while they were starting it, only to come back and find no-one there. The place was full however, IA was sat at a table near a note on the tablecloth about trying to drum up business for the venue. I went away and spent the rest of the night talking on the phone with Madonna.
Terrible pre-migraine yesterday, circles in my vision (that's never happened before) opening out to the usual weird underwater lightning stroke style fractals. Feeling really washed out.
Other things: impeachment of Trump? Good. I feel for those folks who were frightened to vote for it, but it has to happen. You down the bully or the bully comes back, doubly the case if the bully may get you killed. You have to stop them. Passivity never makes them go away.
Some dude is comparing the Republicans who voted for impeachment to Judas Iscariot. No mate, Donald Trump may be many things, but Jesus Christ he ain't.
Old friend stuck in Qanon I suspect. Trying to edge him towards the exit without treating him like an idiot, but I don't think it's working. Red Pill, the unpersoning of Donald Trump by Twitter (Jeez, it's a private company, who said they owe Trump a megaphone?) The strange lack of police, ANTIFA in MAGA hats, and above all Communist louts trying to wreck our civilisation. Year before last it was Muslims. I wonder if he has come into money all of a sudden. I remember years back when he was complaining about the govt demanding he get up and collect dustbins rather than just give him benefit.
I wonder what happened to us all?
That was before the Scientologists got him. He got out of that to fall into this. He's smart in his way, more Dionysian than Apollonic, but I don't think one cult experience necessarily inoculates you against all cults; I think you can get your head dented, and it can stay that way.
Speaking of a dent in the head, I must rush on with work today. I suddenly feel a kind of tender pain behind my eyes up at the front of my head, and may not be able to stay at the PC that long. Certainly more pain killers strike me as a bad idea. Four yesterday, never done that before.
