He's had some kind of powerful experience, and is even now lost around 16 km from where he started, wondering where he left his car. He sounds tremendously - and genuinely - excited to the point of incoherence, and he is obviously very cold and hungry.

I have no idea whether he's had an amazing trip, a psychotic breakdown or a genuine experience. But he's trying to send a little something to me by way of evidence, so if I'm not here tomorrow...
