She died in 2016. Never learned what the problem was, only that the end was extremely sudden. Turned out she had one of those things where the doctor tells you how much time you've got. By the time that happens, it's never long.
Lilith Babellon was a pagan, a cat person and adventuress who pretty much embodied the rock and roll life style. She certainly looked the business with her fringed boots, Tibetan bangles and leopard print everything.
Her wisdom included such gems as
"You can feel like shit.
Talk like shit.
Act like shit.
Never ever ever look like shit.
Appearance is everything, Darling."
She was a cooler version of Patsy/Eddie long before AbFab. Having informed me that I was the reincarnation of Lily Langtry, she went on to tell with relish the story of a Native American chief introducing her to his sons and saying 'You must have one of my braves!' Did she stick to his restrictions? I can hear her voice and chuckle; 'Well you see, darling,they were all very good looking...'
I'm not much of a 'Them times were better' type person. But by god, she missed a poe-faced half-arsed time to be around. Lilith, wherever you are, I hope the party's jumping!
I have had several fascinating dreams recently, but the only one that stayed with me was of this strange sea creature, like some sort of serpentine sea echinoderm. It was gigantic, the front part of it like a woman, young, fair haired, beautiful. But the rest was a coiling mass of spines long and sharp enough to impale humans/predators alike, and when she uncoiled, anything nearby was in danger as a matter of sheer accident. She was being taught how to be aware of her surroundings in uncurling and flexing, so that no tragedies occurred.
I promised myself to record this, to keep this clear, even as all the other dream images fade away.
