Covid.

What seemed like a swift severe cold began to concern me when I tasted some mineral water that tasted just like rusty metal. And yet my other meals were flavoursome and delicious. I just reckoned it was an off moment though it perturbed me. We called off our catch up with chums in Inverness at the end of our adventure, because even as a cold, this was pretty unpleasant. Mortified as I was that they had forked out for the trip, I'd feel a lot worse if they trotted up and we passed this little monster around by way of a thank you.

I tested positive this morning, R hasn't bothered because he has identical symptoms, excepting the taste thing. He has a touch of pink eye though.

The trip has been utterly beautiful and halting it early just means I get to return to finish it off; there is always so much more to this land! And there are stories and pictures, dreams and sights to recall with relish, but for now, I will let myself succumb to this, satisfied in doing the right thing.
