Better!

Thanks to the suggestion of Mallorys_Camera re Becoming Elizabeth . Enjoyed it soundly, really nice depictions of the Seymour brothers among others, and a nice view one seldom sees of Edward Seymour as the man who would make the trains run on time, working in council, fighting in battle, compared to his brother who is just about the rodgering complete with semi-coital puzzlement over why this isn't enough to give him ultimate power.

Haven't seen any dud performances yet, fab stuff!

Spoke to Mum, a normal, pleasant conversation. If I remember that this is good, that intermittent issues are not the end of the world, I'll be fine.

It's 6.40 am, and the sun is shining. I'm holding out for a fine day.

Plus Mary is portrayed as a complex, intelligent human being rather than a gibbering religious zealot; Edward is a brat in the full Henry VIII mold, and Lady Jane Grey is not a beauty. The actress who plays Elizabeth is kind of the weak pin here, not exactly bad, but not up to the standards of the rest of the cast.
