The mermaid was a development of an earlier bizarre attempt, the main prompt being 'mermaid on a rocky shore in a storm by artist "Gustave Buchet", intricate details pyroclastic flow, fairy, sinister,' weight 1.5 SDXL Beta
Plus a negative prompt: 'ugly, tiling, poorly drawn hands, poorly drawn feet, poorly drawn face, out of frame, extra limbs, disfigured, deformed, body out of frame, blurry, bad anatomy, blurred, watermark, grainy, signature, cut off, draft' weight -0.9
This was all in model SDXL Beta, and here's the result:
I couldn't leave her in such a state, so I used the above as a starter image in SDXL 0.9, using exactly the same prompts but changing the weight of the negative prompt to -0.3. The result was the jolly lady who got me banned!
