A Very Good Day

smokingbootYesterday, I picked plums from our little tree and made jam. Doing the wrinkle test on a saucer, the jam was a soft pink but in the jars it looks worryingly like curry sauce. Also, who knew that plum staining was a thing? My fingers look like I've been smoking for 20 years!
But the jam tastes OK.
This morning I put on my smocky top, the one that always feels so feminine and comfortable though it's not the most flattering shape, and I wore my silver sixpence on a chain. Then I went to the surgeon and he told me I am cancer clear.
So today is a very good day.
