Hmm, well ABC news, CNN and Fox news aren't reporting the response from religious groups at all, only the development of the vaccine. Given that it's in the US and religious nutballs are headline grabbers on US news channels, that suggests to me that's it's a relatively fringe view.

It's one of those articles where you read the good news and it almost gets eclipsed by the rest :( I had to re-read the first paragraph just to remind myself that it's the development that is important, and not the net worth of the companies and the social moral implications.
