When you are tired, when you are weary, when you are ready to weep or crack the world's spine between your bloodied fists...seek out sweet company and spend time in their arms. Then find that wonderful Italian restaurant not so far away, and forget your diet. Eat steak in blissfully rich sauces, drink much cold beer, talk about many things. Walk home again, on a dark and wintry night with bright stars overhead, past the old witching tree and her thorny legions. Cuddle up in bed and sleep a long time.

And you too, shall be well.

Hello weekend.

A Poet To His Beloved

I bring you with reverent hands
The books of my numberless dreams,
White woman that passion has worn
As the tide wears the dove grey sands,
And with heart more old than the horn
That is brimmed from the pale fire of time;
White woman with numberless dreams,
I bring you my passionate rhyme.

W.B. Yeats
