First Christmas Present
Nov. 17th, 2004 11:26 amA wormery!
I've wanted one of these for a couple of years, and finally got one when I had given up all hope of getting round to it. It came early due to something about delivery times I think, and is a present from Larians' parents. Ah, the smell of a coir bedding brick mulching in hot water...would the soft strong henna scent permeating the house make you think, 'See how this woman is in touch with the earth mother within,' or would you think, 'Wow, she's thrown mud and worms all over the kitchen...' Wow, I am tired. There should be a question mark in there somewhere, but I can't think. Anyway, after a slight accident or two, I have set the wormery up, and now they need a week to settle. After that, it's recycle time for lots of foody type rubbish. Next, I'll look into the Greenpeace Juice thing about wind energy. I am a lazy sod who doesn't do nearly enough for the planet.
My arm is tingling, but I feel pretty good. Last night I had the first full night's sleep I have had in a long time, after an excellent game of AD&D3, based on the Underdark city of Menzo-baranzan. I am surprised at how much I am enjoying this (Drow for me have suffered massively from Locko Park syndrome) but this is rich and colourful and political in a way I can relate to, and I could really do with playing it again soon. No, sooner than that!
The kittens are a total delight. Things are OK. Now I have to start thinking about work.
