Serene

Last night, for the first night in ages, I went to bed in a state of neither high nerves nor total exhaustion. I felt really calm and serene, happy actually; don't know how that happened, possibly the addition of roses to the garden; three chirpy little floribundas and my beautiful velvety one. Now in the spirit of good companion planting, I want to plant some garlic around them. I replanted a lot of my teeny conifers and heathers - the latter grow in such abundance they were in danger of smothering up the dwarf pear tree, so they have been moved to a less cramped distance...the lavender has been left though, because I love to see the blue flowers touching the tree's lower branches. And I fell asleep feeling very good. Then I had some odd dreams I record here, for my own memory rather than any special interest.
nothing to see here )

And now, breathe in and out, time to greet the day.

So midsummer is tomorrow and the weather is crud; pouring drab cold rain on a drab cold world; and all around us are the bad guys, the media, the government, children and other criminals, gameplayers and parents, friends who desert us, exes who won't, doctors who laugh at us, bosses who burst into tears when we smile at them, work colleagues who sneer at us when we smile at the boss, neighbours who think we're above ourselves just cos we kicked their goat/rusty bike/wife out of the garden and told them that faking pikeydom was not cool. I know you can't bear it any more. There's only one thing to do.

How to make a zombi )

So there you go. Pufferfish, datura, perhaps with a few optional bones and lizards, bish bosh, sorted. Don't feed your zombis salt, it helps them recover faster. In the meantime, leave something out for the fairies tonight/tomorrow night or when your local bokor sends his minions for you, you'll have no-one to help you except that boomstick of yours - and we both know you're short on ammo already.

Here's to midsummer, and tomorrow's dawn:-)
