Summer's day

The lilac tree is in bloom, the grass is tall and untended, and the pond is full of frogs, one of which just stuffed itself on a drowning wasp. A blackbird's nest sits empty in the firethorn tree. I buried the chicks near the tree and planted a rose above them.
It's a very beautiful day.
