New Moon Over Stevenage...
Sep. 1st, 2013 08:53 pm...with a huge bright star hanging directly above it. I noticed it after a day with friends that ended at about 3 in the morning, by which time I was full of cookies, pringles, red wine and chocolate orange vodka.
One of the strange things about the room I was sleeping in was its pristine state. The person who usually kips there (away for the weekend) has a habit of filling wine glasses with earth and then planting cuttings in them. The miracle is not just that the cuttings grow joyfully, but that the windowsill is not a wasteland of spilled soil, lost leaves, dead moths, spiders and wine/water rings. The whole room is spotlessly clean, tidy and pretty.
Apparently the usual resident is 'some kind of scientist.'
