Redcap warning

Travelling days are usually more auspicious than this. I was woken by a sting, and blood pouring down my face. Surya had missed the bed and pranged me a good'un with her claws. I now have two tiny parallel scratches on one side of my nose. Hard to conceal, but at least I don't look like the shining lamp of bloodyface any more. Doing a little necessary hoovering only to have the whole thing launch itself at me from the top of the stairs, crushing my hand and tearing a flap of skin off my finger. Now that really did smart, and again, for a brief moment it all looked a bit hannibal. Is there some hungry redcap nearby?
