Message on a stone

Found on London Bridge yesterday morning. The city was drizzly and almost deserted - nothing is happening around St Paul's on a wintery saturday morning until 11 at the earliest - and I wandered round Ludgate beyond Costa's, Prets, and Itsu's to find myself facing a comforting little café with a fine line in greasy spoon breakfasts, baked beans, toast, scrambled eggs. People were eating while the staff took decorations down.
The message has all the storyworth of an omen, though I can't think of any situations in which I should have stayed. If anything, my tendency is to hang on and hope. I leave when I have to, seldom before, and knocking that habit on the head has taken me years!
It's a cute thing to see in early January though. New Year was spent with excellent friends. As we left, I saw the moon and Jupiter close together in the night sky.
