Solstice 2016

In the year of riven harvests
In the time of little flags
Cloud striped, the tiger of the sun
rose from a river bed

Shaking water from its hide
From river-reed to hill
All the green glass world
watched the light rising

Small men ignored it
kissing their shadows
shunning bright summer
and the meadow grown heaven
