Dreaming

I have not had a proper dream in months. But yesterday, the weirdest thing happened... I just crashed out in the early afternoon and fell into a very deep sleep, and then came the dream; A room full of in-laws and, of all people, an older lady I know from the pagan scene. The toddler son of my sister-in-law-to-be was bouncing on a bed; sometimes he seemed more like a baby sometimes he seemed more confident, like a four or five year old. We jumped on the bed as though it was a trampoline for a few minutes, but then I saw something no-one else seemed to notice; it was snowing in the room. It had a very localised starting point, a specific part of the ceiling, and it didn't seem to be settling anywhere, but there were particles of it flying around everywhere. The pagan lady asked me about the phenomenon, mainly trying to to work out what it was. I  don't know if she could actually see it. Sometimes it seemed like snow, sometimes like hail/sleet or rain with a curiously distinctive gleam, sometimes like little sparks, though it didn't seem to burn.

I woke up feeling better than I have for a while.

No. Enough.

It had to be called.

My utterly beautiful and classy sister-in-law-to-be recommended eyelash extensions for a fuller softer glamourous flutter. She warned me that they are addictive...so I booked an appointment at Atherton Cox for this morning. I have now cancelled it.

The reason eyelash extensions are addictive is cos they look very glam, but fall out within two weeks to four weeks. There is a small chance they will take your eyelashes with them, resulting in baldy-eye. When they start to fall out they look a bit scraggy, so you need infills every three weeks, which eventually does lead to baldy-eye. You mustn't use any kind of oil based product anywhere near them, should comb them delicately each morning and night with an eyelash comb taking care not to tug them out, and must endeavour not to sleep with your face in your pillow in case you bend them backwards and they break off.

This luxurious experience starts at  £150. Now admittedly, I was going to one of the top, if not the top, place for eyelash extensions in town, I get that. But still.  And it's not as though my own eyelashes are wanting - they're OK, just pale. These will make them look better but fall out faster. Then I'll need more. No,  I am just being a fool! Of course I want to look good for my wedding, but  the madness stops here!
