The Mend

...First night out in weeks. I have suffered from full on sickness induced brainfail; The day I got these new drugs I chucked them in the bin; they were in a bag I assumed contained my half-eaten danish pastry - the same pastry I had already thrown away 15 minutes before. Fortunately Larians pointed it out,and I rescued the drugs, which do seem to be having more effect than the earlier ones. Suddenly we learn that when one course of antibiotics doesn't work, you might get results with a stronger dose. Who knew?

My confusion reached its pinnacle the day before yesterday when I put my shirt on upside down. Not inside out, upside down, with the collar bit at the hem and vice versa. I didn't even notice til larians came home and pointed it out. I had been wandering around like that all day.

Yesterday, determined not to be such a  lameoid,I decided to join november_girl 's birthday booze in the city, along with ellefurtle , caddyman and others. So as not to look frightful I tried to cut my own fringe. Big mistake.The result was like Richard III deciding to join the Beatles. Electrified by the dreadful vision, I dashed down to Blackheath and had the whole lot chopped off, and went on to meet the others,convinced that the way down to the Cittie of Yorke was to turn right out of Charing Cross station as opposed to Holborn station, Q me wandering around like an eeeejit in the rain...

But it reminded me of how much I enjoy the City... and the Cittie come to that. We had a lovely night.
