Made me shudder ever so slightly. The IDS one is the most ominous, with the hooded executioner nearby, but to my mind there is something like bullying about Jacob Rees-Mogg's top hat flying off. Most of them have a pointed Englishness to them; wattle and daub, churches, lych-gates; except the Farage one which concentrates more on the action. They are clever and sinister. I like them and I don't like them.
Regarding Brexit, much has been made of the increase in poll results that indicate regret or the desire for the people to have a final say. In the light of this, that arch conman Nigel Farage talks about his return to politics in order to campaign against Theresa May's Chequers plan. As if he had much else to do; without his demagoguery he's nothing. It will be interesting to see how he squares his claims of the UK being better off out against his gaining German citizenship for his kids, thereby enabling them to all the benefits of the EU.
Apart from bots and trolls, there seems to be a lot less Brexit trumpeting around generally. Boris Johnson, desperate for what may be his last chance to get into Number 10, courts the far right with his 'jokey' attacks on women in burkhas. The results: a rise in racist incidents against muslims, including repetition of his description of them as 'letterboxes.' https://twitter.com/TellMamaUK/status/1029723876824109058
Anyone who votes for these clowns deserves the circus.
