Well now, after cutting out FB I got some seriously constructive work done, so, as a little pat on the back I returned.

Jaysus.

It's like a pinball machine of fury, Nick Cage gurning as he hits the flippers; Ping government! Ping someone else's government! Ping Covid, ping Brexit, ping Racism, ping Sexism ping Ableism ping Transphobia ping Privilege ping Poverty ping Nazis ping Thugs ping ping ping ping FULL TILT!

These are very worthy issues to get angry about, but what normal human being can maintain rage at all of them all the time? It seems as though some strange force drives us from one point of anger to another until we explode, unable to do anything except develop throbbing temple veins on our great big melon-shaped heads. A friend commented on an article that he despised; his first word was an abbreviation, TLDR, fair enough. But somehow an article that wasn't worth reading was worth getting angry about, worth sharing for the nectar of community umbrage.

2020, the year spontaneous combustion became a cult.

I'm good at being angry and can sustain it for years. Still working hard on sorting that out, but even at my most rabid, I know that leaping from thoughts of one horrible injustice to another is just free adrenaline going nowhere, used for nothing except hernia inducement. Think and then do if possible. Guilt as Gatling gun is a treacherous weapon; it inevitably takes down more allies than enemies.

In less than 10 days off FB I've done better work than in the month beforehand. Not more work, better work. I can't describe the improvement, only that it's real.

Got to take that on board.
