Physical stuff difficult for me right now plus debilitating fatigue etc...

Pushing it to the back of my mind, moving my thoughts outside of all this.

Fortunately, the UK has had a complete basket case of a week, which makes me laugh and groan at the same time.

We seem to be accumulating borders, always handy.

There's Ireland of course, and a choice of three; a)Between Northern Ireland and Britain b)Between the Republic of Ireland and the EU or c) Between Northern Ireland and the Republic. The government has no clue what to do about it; the DUP objects to the first, the ROI will not accept the second, and the US appears to be frowning at the third. On the basis of who can be betrayed with least consequence, things aren't looking good for the DUP. All they can do is hope that Trump not only wins but quells the Irish influence in Congress. From what I understand, that's not so easy.

Then there's Gibraltar, full of proud British citizens who are aligning with EU requirements faster than a Barbary ape nicks a sandwich. Certain products from EU countries will exit/enter Gib just as they do now. Certain products from third countries, including the UK, will have to be processed via the nearest EU customs point, i.e Alcegiras in Spain across the bay; because there's patriotism and then there's being batsh*t crazy.

And speaking of b*tshit crazy, there's Kent, with more than its fair share of eager Brexiters who have suddenly learned that to deal with the possibility of insane congestion on the motorways to the ports, the government has come up with an idea that's glorious in its surreality. Kent will have a defacto border between it and the rest of the UK, checkpoints where truckers will need permits to get in. Said border will be policed. I knew a lot of Brexiters want to get back to the good old days, I had no idea they meant 800 AD. If things carry on in this vein, those dastardly Northumbrians will be on our doorstep and we'll have to ally with the Picts. Time to stock up on woad.
