Imprudent

'From the way you defend this vaccine, I think you have already had it,' she texted.

And there came my moment, the way out. I could have denied it.

My defence was no different to any other time I have defended it. I think she's just unconsciously assimilated the info about roll out in the UK and expects me to have had it. Besides, how else would I get to see her ever again?

And it's not just about lying to her, though that is always difficult. It's just such a stupid lie that would inevitably need to be walked back later. So why bother? I didn't.
