Interflora and other trials
Dec. 20th, 2022 10:25 amI booked Mum's bouquet on the 13th of this month with the specific instructions to deliver them on the 22nd.
Mum told me she didn't want the flowers on the 15th.
I contacted Interflora and tried to cancel the order. They said they were waiting for a message from head office and would get back to me. They didn't of course.
I contacted them again on the 17th.
They said they couldn't cancel the order as the bouquet had already been dispatched. I replied wanting to know why a bouquet meant to arrive at my mother's place on the 22nd had been dispatched on or prior to the 17th. Didn't that mean the flowers were not fresh on arrival? They said they'd get back to me. Then yesterday the message reached me that the bouquet has been delivered. Nothing to do with the 17th as you see. I am asking what the hell is going on. No answer. My mother is not answering her phone and I'm only getting one grey tick from her messages, so presumably she's out of battery juice.
And I do wonder why everything, everything, has an extra level of b*ggery to it. Yes, Mum's a special case but... nothing is just easy. Bought four lots of lights, three don't work. Everything is a bit off kilter. There seem to be little mentioned but never ending short supplies of bits and pieces. Things need exchanging or just weren't there in the first place, food's short dated, service is seriously under par, and of course, prices have gone up. There's this perpetual scrabbling to get what you paid for or your money back, an overriding mood that's testy and aggravating under the Crimbo cheer.
Maybe it will change as we head into peak Santa Season.
