Beautiful Ordinary Day

Cherry blossom season's so short around here, the wind shakes the trees as soon as they're full, and suddenly there are petal tempests rolling down the pavements softening wherever they pass. Right now this street's all pink/white gorgeousness. Near the gym everything was so cherried up I didn't recognise the route and overshot my way. Wandering lost around the trees, spotted a woodpecker on a branch close to me. There we were, the woodpecker, the trees and me with one other for company.
It was an ordinary day, and somehow one of the most lovely I can recall.
