Things almost sorted.

Dentist: I don't know, I'm beginning to think this is just not a very good dental practice. Little chip off the back of a tooth, they putty it in, tell me it's set completely and I can go eat and drink. I do. Putty melts right off. Back I go, they redo it. Putty has sagged a bit, so the edges of the tooth are somewhat concave. Next appointment is in a couple of weeks. That trip to Europe to just sort out this nonsense looms ever closer, but I am wary of chucking thousands at my teeth when we are saving for something so much more interesting.

Engineer: Suddenly found he had some spare time to pop round, all good. The leak which produced ceiling water stains doesn't exist as far as he can tell, he's reset the airpressure in the boiler in case it's a case of occasional overflow. The bad news is that he thinks we should keep the investigatory holes in our ceiling untouched for a month just in case some water appliance is leaking. I see the sense in it, no point repairing the ceiling till we are sure, but still. A month! It looks ghastly!

Physio: Gentle judgment going on there. Yes, I have been walking on it, because I can't exactly not walk around Granada or a music festival. Yes, it is swollen. He did the TENS thing etc, told me not to do the exercises til it calms down a bit. Probably wouldn't have approved of me walking home. The foot was extremely sore yesterday and now feels somewhat better, but I still can't walk on the heel. This is crazy.

Tonight's guests: Bed made, vegan bath stuff bought, vegan food arriving, presents to be wrapped. That tablecloth needs a clean, cos Mismatch has been lounging all over it depositing enough white fur for the creation of her dopplganger.
