New lump.
But I don't think it can really be a problem. Hurts like hell, turned up last night at the base of my neck. R thinks it is bigger this morning. Probably a swollen lymph gland on account of my cold, though I don't recall ever having this particular symptom from the hundreds of colds, coughs, and whatevers that have assailed me since childhood. In any case, from what I understand cancerous lumps are gradual and painless. It is probably nothing at all.
I will be mortified to take this to the docs only to be told it's a bite, but it really doesn't feel like one. There's no itching, no pinpoint of discomfort, it's not red, no teeny pinprick to be seen. I guess I should make sure.
