That's me that is. Note the helmet falling over the eyes, the straps tumbling everywhere, the sheer confusion...if you take a close look at those straps, they almost look like long strips of paper covered with scribbled writing.

Of course, last night was a fine fat full moon, in Aquarius, which apparently makes us forward looking but insane. Maybe that's it. After days of feeling (feeling, I emphasise, not necessarily with cause)* misunderstood, misheard, misquoted, misread and mistaken, someone made me laugh this morning - in this case I was not mis-anythinged. I was simply not heard at all. No, this does not peeve me, for once I am pleased to be safe in irrelevance.

Weirdly, all my admin type communication is going really well. Bank being reasonable, tax office being reasonable, work being reasonable...there's something eerie about all those yesses connected with giving me money. I don't mind of course, it just has a strange Corpse Bride sweetness to it. Any minute now something strange(r) will happen.

Last night, we went to see Miami Vice. I hated the 80s series but had read good reviews so thought it was worth trying; It was a real contrast from all those action packers inevitably described as 'slick and stylish' which translates as 'nothing much really happens.' This felt harsh, fast paced, very good. I'll go to see the next one.

*It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was a time of many caveats...

Money into moths

There are worse things money could turn into; at least moths are pretty and spooky. I am tempted to splurge on a mighty party on Sept 23rd to celebrate National Moth Night; we could all wear furry little collars and cuffs and just blunder into each other in a darkness illumined by the liquers in our cocktails. Despite my enthusiasm, http://www.nationalmothnight.info/2006/commonmoths.php seems to be more about recording moths than celebrating them.
