Once you start to notice them, you realise they're everywhere. I've been hit in the face (not in the face!) yes in the face, by dozens of long cobweb strands looping out on the wind across gates and hedges, trees and gates. They seem random but I don't believe it.
My suspicion is that if they ever stop and the cobwebs break for good, all the objects on the earth's surface will just float off or fall over. Gravity is a myth invented to keep us comfortable and unaware of our arachnid overlords.
In other news, I have decided I'd quite like to live in an airship.
