It's strange that my inability to read let alone write lj has been brought to a halt by news of the death of Heath Ledger. It was bound to hit hard - how many repeats of A Knight's Tale have I watched on Sky? - it isn't even that great a film, it just makes me feel good. Brokeback Mountain,for all its lack of pace, really haunted me; Ennis Del Mar was a lumpen crag of inarticulacy, don't know how I ended up feeling so much for him. Well, yes I do I guess; Mr Ledger's acting. Goodbye Mr Ledger, and thanks. I'm sorry it got so tough. I'll watch the Dark Knight and remember you.

I don't think I'm any more affected by this than any other death of an actor I liked... maybe slightly more harsh due to the age thing and total waste of life.

He was in a lot of great movies but I'm saddest about it whilst remembering 10 Things I Hate About You. I adored him in that and the character was responsible for a lot of my 'perfect boyfriend' ideas early on.

I am shocked and saddened. :(

A pity - so young, I always had a soft spot for him - seemed like he had some kind of spark to him. He also acted in 'Casanova' and '10 things I hate about you'.

It's weird; River Phoenix/Kurt Cobain/many of the wasted pretties just didn't matter that much to me, I mean it was a shame but hell, with Kurt it was practically expected...

So why this has touched me I have no idea.
