I can't, because my delicious boyfriend has arranged a mysterious and rather costly surprise on the same day, he likes to arrange his spoiling of me well in advance, a trait of which I heartily approve. Still, I really loved the Midsummer ball at the Salisbury Guild Hall, this looks as though it will be just as dashing. Double bookings k'plaaah!

I very much want to go to this glorious phenomenon http://www.irrepressible-events.com/ nosted by the inimitable Messrs Flay and DeVille aka jfs and a gentleman unknown to me. My boyfriend cannot make it and I don't fancy wandering Soho by myself, are any other chums going? If not I may be too shy...

And finally I have been invited to a screening of this http://www.innwfilm.com/ by one of the directors, a gifted colleague and excellent supporter of my writing. Naturally, I am working on a show that night.

I would like one, just one invitation that doesn't clash with dates/shows/pheers/ other things making me seem like a recluse when all I want to party.

All right, maybe more than just one!

Errata: As jfs has gently pointed out, he is neither Mr Flay nor Mr DeVille... I am clearly losing my mind! He does however, manage events, and the last Circus of Marvels he released upon the denizens of Soho was an astounding success, hence my eagerness to attend. It has nothing to do with any desire I might have to see the gentleman prestidigate in a fine victorian moustache!

I am very sorry to have missed it. Work issues are being, uh, difficult, shall we say.

I don't want to keep saying, 'I will go' because I think I'm cursing myself! If you would be so kind as to keep me posted, the most I shall say about June 1st is that I can be pretty determined...
